[OOC: Spam or log format if anyone would like to play out gift reactions, the last of the December mistletoe, Narvin hating the cold, or anything else. Like a lazy day-in-the-life, Holiday Edition.]
[Narvin hates the cold, hates snow, and hates patrolling this time of year. But he considers it part of his job, so he pulls his coat close around him and trudges across the deck.]
[Nevermind that he can technically survive in a cold as deep as the vacuum of space. Narvin misses the perfectly controlled temperature of the Citadel.]
[Narvin is very pointedly Not Blushing. The way that Time Lords assert control of their autonomic functions and turn their faces to bland statues Not Blushing. Time for a diversion.]
I trust you received some items of interest as well?
One or two. [He brushes down his new coat-- winterweight and luxurious. Fitted nicely to his brick wall of a body.]
It isn't a tradition where I come from. Mind I don't actually come from much of anywhere. But it's a pleasant thing. I wondered why I felt compelled to write out requests at random.
The Admiral adores Earth holidays. We went through all this...[he gestures around him, vaguely indicating the snow, the mistletoe, the decorations, the gift lists, all the holiday ambiance]...last year as well. Just wait until you see Valentine's Day.
It's an Earth holiday dedicated to sentimentality, romance, and love. I'm sure you can imagine how the Admiral is inspired by that. You've got about a month and a half to prepare yourself for it.
It's somewhat different every year. Last year, my inmate temporarily fell in love with me. Another year, I'm told the ship made port in a place called "Kissing Town."
...that's a little intriguing sounding, actually. The town, I mean. But I'd prefer to avoid romantic entanglement with Mister Braxiatel. Not that he's not a handsome gentle but there are a few rules on this hulk.

Did my gift come for you and the agent?

[He realizes that he's probably supposed to say thank you in situations like this.]
Thank you. We'll...that is, it will... [Awkward throat clearing.] Most useful, yes.
