[Warden Filter]
Star chamber. It’s an Earth term to describe a court of judgement in which there are no indictments, no witnesses, no appeals, no jury. It’s used to describe an unjust system wherein a few individuals can take arbitrary judicial action outside of any rule of law and without the system of checks designed to--if not eliminate personal bias, at least reduce its effect. When we were holding proceedings against Mr. Tim Drake, I expressed my concern that the judgement of the wardens could too easily become nothing more than a star chamber, bereft of justice.
I don’t object to my incarceration, as that part of my punishment was in complete accordance with the rules set out by wardens some time ago, as a collective, and not directed at any single individual. I do object, however, to the confiscation of my equipment. Ten wardens voted for it to be taken away. Ten out of seventy-four. This is not a majority vote, this is not the “will of the wardens.” Although these ten people have a right to their opinion, that right does not--or at least should not--extend to allowing a small group of people to essentially elect themselves to determine punitive actions against an individual. Despite the pretence of a vote, this is not democratic, this is not just, this is a minority being allowed...

Goddammit, Narvin, you can't just- [And a second black-sleeved arm reaches over and turns off the feed.]
((OOC: Narvin will not reply immediately to any comments (as he will be busy having Kay explain to him why he's an idiot) and after about half an hour he will remove his rant from the network. But anyone could view it in the meantime.))
