So I am terrible about filling in details. I have a hard time talking about Ireland or Norway with people because I was there for so long, so I don't really have a quick answer for how it was. On the one hand, I had some crappy experiences and felt pretty drained sometimes. On the other hand, I met some awesome people, got to do a lot of traveling, saw some pretty cool places, and had a lot of fun. I've had a hard time getting more specific than that, and for some reason journaling on here or facebook always seems like too much work.
I am back in Washington state again, living in Parkland and finishing up at PLU. This term will be my last term of college, possibly ever. I am either going to graduate or drop out, because I am running out of money, patience, and determination. I am doing the preliminary work on my final paper, which is the only thing standing between me and graduation.
My plans past school are as-yet unformed: I've been offered room and board in Northern Ireland for a few months, if I can get there myself and have something to do once I get there. My friends in Norway want me to come back, and I want to go back. There's still more places I'd like to go. I have people here that want to know if I'm sticking around, just like I've got friends and family back in Anchorage who want to know whether I'm ever going to go back. I guess my plan is to just look for work all over the place and go wherever I can find the work.
