Seems like every time I intend to do something with this blog, I end up disappearing for months at a time.

This time I got pounded by the holidays. The place I live was an utter disaster zone, and then there was the slight shift of living situation, heap on the stress of day to day with the holidays, a trip to a very busy tourist spot at a very busy time of the year, and add on my brain's tangents onto other projects, and well, I wasn't left with a lot of thinking time for the blog. Nor a lot of time to do it in.

But, new year, new resolutions. I'm making one resolution to stick with this blog. Try to make a post every day, whether fanfiction, original fiction, ranting, or working on my writing theories, I want to at least find something to say, because really, it's not a lack of anything to say that's kept me quiet. I'm also hoping that having a dedicated writing time--even if it is just random thoughts--will help me improve my strength and dedication to finishing projects.

Which leads me to say another resolution. I've got at least six original fiction pieces in mind, and I'm wanting to finish four of them by the time the year is out with. One isn't so far from being complete already--lacking a grand four chapters. Another two I'm working with my partner on. Well, more like we work together on ideas, I scurry back to my hole with them, and then thrust out a week's ideas at a time for approval. These pieces are designed to be boy-on-boy erotica that we intend to self-publish. More details on that when we get somewhere with the project. (Though I am hoping to have at least one out by the end of spring.)

As for fanfiction, I'm going to try and keep those promises I made in October. "Remember This" presents a special challenge in that it's been so long since I was in that mind set, I'm finding it hard to pick back up. I'll try to work with it, but I might call that an inconclusive and retool the core concept--"What would happen if Ianto suddenly remembered Adam's planted memories?". I'll see what other old ideas stir up, and mix in a few new ones. I'd love to be able to branch out from the Jack/Ianto, and if at all possible from Torchwood. However, it's much more likely that I'll keep on with TW fanfic while I'm musing out my original works.

Anyway, here's to a new year! Joy and happiness to all.
