Update 10/24
Okay, so here's a surprise for me. I've got requests, for three separate stories.
I've been requested to finish up "Remember This." That project's been delayed for so long for two reasons: 1. The computer I was working with was a little bitch and kept rebooting on me. 2. I was having a hard time with just how violent to get with the piece. Due to the fact that it's been months--and the original file is still on the little bitch of a computer--I'm taking the approach of trying to write up a fresh continuation and ending of the story as opposed to digging out the original that still wasn't working yet. So while "Remember This" is first on the priority list, I'm not going to post something for that story--especially since I've got to switch my style back a bit to make it work right---that isn't top-notch. "Remember This" was always intended to be like a darker episode of Torchwood that could never hit the air. And violent. So very violent. And so I've got to find the comfort level of just *how* violent I want to get with it. I don't want to end up breaking the characters, this was just supposed to test their limits, but that's what I've been coming up with lately.
Of course I could break them, and that'd spark a brand new series of trying to fix them, but "Remember This" was supposed to take place directly before Children of Earth and still fit within the confines of the series.
Another request, which did come before the "Remember This" request, is for a follow-up to a follow-up to a prank. (Which will probably make this into a series, so if anyone knows a good name for the series, feel free to suggest). Owen's payback. The first two just kinda of struck me one day, and while I've got an idea for a third, I'm trying to come up with something better. Though I am just now starting to get another idea. See where this plays out.
Third request has been for Owen/Ianto, Ianto/Owen--I know there was distinction in how you phrase that at one time, anyone still making that distinction? --which an idea I've had for fulfilling this request is leading me to making a whole long soap operic erotic series. The point of which would be sex, sex, and more sex over the course of the series and invented events. That series I'd throw parrellel to anything else I've written and into it's own separate timeline. Most of my other stories (barring a few stray comments) fit together (and if I go in and edit, would fit even better) cohesively and are intended to. The Sex Archives (or whatever I end up calling it) would be sex for the sake of sex and focus completely on hooking up for hot steamy action---and be practice for .
All of these will be fun to do, but at the same time I've got to get work done on original material. Hopefully by the end of the week, I'll have my studio set up properly and will be able to have a better atmosphere. With the studio set up I'll have more work time and hopefully updating will become more steady.
Oh, side note, especially since I'm not sure how many people bother reading this---I'm looking for some good icons. .
