OUTSIDE INN: Do you wanna come with me?

Jan 05, 2008 21:42

The Doctor half-tugs April into the TARDIS - not that it's necessary, because April would come along perfectly willingly, but it's what the Doctor does. Like he's in any rush at all when he has a ship that travels in space and time.

The TARDIS will have changed since April saw it. It's not Eight's metal and woodwork steampunk version of the TARDIS - it's decidedly more organic, and decidedly more alien.

And there's a guy from the 51st century lounging on one of the coral-like struts that rise from the floor of the console room to the ceiling. He glances over as the TARDIS door opens, and frowns.

"Where'd you get her? Aren't we in space?"

The Doctor grins brightly, releasing April's hand as the door closes behind them. "Yes. Fantastic, isn't it?"

Jack seems to just accept that as par for the course with the Doctor. Sure, he just walked out of what's supposed to be empty space with a girl from nowhere. It's the Doctor. Jack knows better than to ask. Or maybe he's just paying too much attention to the pretty girl who came out of nowhere.

He slides off of the strut and starts toward April with a charming grin. "Fantastic indeed. And who are you?"
