[ She's been there waiting for him, somewhere behind him where he can't see. There's a pretty happy grin spreading across her face as she punches the message into the SFC-- ]

[ And when you do, there she'll be waiting for you, your shades sitting comfortably on her face. ]

[And he does so, seeing her there -- wearing his shades, waiting for him, and in a moment of uncoolness he grins and takes a step forward to hhug her but--

Oh. Derp. Gotta be the cool kid.

So he relaxes his posture, shoves his hands into his pockets and gives a shrug. Don't worry about the red eyes yet, Strider, just gotta stay cool. No hugs, only smugness.]

[ Terezi takes the glasses off and tosses them his way. She thought about asking him for a favor in return for them, but she'll bug him about sniffing and licking his eyes again some other time. For now, she's just relieved to see him alive. ]

[Catch. He might give a small grin at that but it disappears quickly because soon enough, shades are on, facade is up.]

After, she pulls her own glasses out and puts them on her face. ]

[And he... surprisingly, hugs back. Gripping her tightly and burying his face in her hair, he relaxes quite a lot. He... is really happy she's still alive -- that he's still alive (he'll work out some sort of reasoning for that later when he's alone and can look at the time) but he can't hold back right now.

So, strider's gotta stride, dave's gotta hug.]
