solidarity boycott today with the Latino community

As some of you may know, our new governor has succeeded in passing some legislation that is detrimental to minority communities and immigrants (which I think is pretty ironic considering Arnie's immigrant success story; you'd think he'd have a little more compassion). He has repealed the act to let undocumented immigrants (although many undocumented people have lived in the US their whole lives) obtain drivers licenses; which would make our streets safer because people would have to take the driving test as opposed to just driving illegally. He has also cut back money to fund public clinics and educational outreach that serve minority, namely Latino populations. So today the Latino population is joining in solidarity against this injustice and boycotting the US/CA economy. No groceries or shopping of any kind, no buying gas, and no going to work. The point is that these repeals are unjust because they do not recognize that the Latino population is the backbone of the US/CA economy (think factory workers (all your electronics and appliances), migrant laborers (all your food), textile workers (all your clothes), janitors, gardeners, construction workers, and all other jobs Americans think they are too good to do).

You can help fight this injustice by boycotting in solidarity with the Latino community; help make a difference!
