Rx Bandits, Mêlée, & Brazil show review.

May 11, 2004 23:39

This is one show that I highly anticipated last month. Actually, it was one of the greater shows in April. Here's my review:

Brazil - 32.5/40 (82%)

Performance - 9/10
Music Quality - 8.5/10
Production - 8/10
Crowd Involvement - 7/10

Brazil exceeded my expectations. I thought they were going to be alright, but turned out to be better than that. I loved the way these guys rocked out. It looked like they were having a good time playing, which is a rare thing these days.

Pros: Excellent Performance, good entertainment.
Cons: Short set.

Mêlée - 36/40 (90%)

Performance - 9.5/10
Music Quality - 9/10
Production - 8.5/10
Crowd Involvement - 9/10

Mêlée is one sweet band! Like Brazil, they were having a good time on stage. The Electric Theater is the best venue around. I think it's safe to say that it's the best venue in Southern Utah. If I was in a band, this place would be a prime choice for me. Anyway, Mêlée has some amazing guitar solos, along with the lead singer's vocals...they are outstanding. I highly recommend this band.

Pros: Vocals, Amazing Performance.
Cons: None.

Rx Bandits - 38.5/40 (97%)

Performance - 10/10
Music Quality - 10/10
Production - 9.5/10
Crowd Involvement - 9/10

This is the Rx Bandit's second time at the Electric Theater. They played with more precision, and comfort this time. All of their songs flowed into each other so smoothly. There were no pauses in between songs. It was like an hour long, non-stop, music session. Most of the kids knew the lyrics to the songs, which made the experience more enjoyable. This is one show I won't forget.

Pros: Songs flowed into each other, they played with more comfort this time.
Cons: Long set, I saw some kids leave.

Tonight's Overall Score: 107/120 (89%)

I hope my new review system is easy to understand. I'm open to any suggestions, thanks.
