Things weren't supposed to go this way...

When you went into a portal, you were supposed to exit from the same place you entered. Prier was supposed to head back home, try to find some crazy excuse to explain to Culotte why she's been missing, laugh it off, and just go to bed.

She wasn't supposed to find herself desperately trying to breathe. It took her a moment to register that she was underwater, not that it made her stop panicking any less. It's only when she finally got her bearings and managed to reach the top taht she finally reaslized just what was going on. That portal, that stupid portal dropped her right into a river! Fortunately, she was close to the shore, so it wasn't as if she was in immediate danger. In fact, once the surprise wore out, the whole situation wasn't that much dangerous... for her at least, so she simply swam back to the shore.

It didn't take long for her to realize that she wasn't where she thought she'd end up. This wasn't Pot-au-Feu, matter of fact, it wasn't even Paprica. The fact that she could still access that weird mind reading-- whatever pretty much confirmed it. That's when things just really started to pile up. The silly argument with those two bozos right before, being taken away from home and stuck with cavemen, having that one hope of returning being pretty much smashed to pieces, and being stuck only God knows where, wet and tired... THAT'S IT!

Prier screamed. It was short but loud, and very clear on it message: she had had enough. She started kicking the nearest large rock she could find, over and over again. She would probably be in pain after this for a while, but right now, she didn't care. She needed to vent and she was going to do it one way or another.

This went on for a couple of minutes, until she was pretty much spent. Right, right, no use getting all fired up over something like this. Just stay cool, yep... better just get going and try to find a place to stay for the night.

Still drenched and pretty messed up, she started to make her way down the road, hoping it would eventually lead to somewhere somewhat civilized. Didn't stop her from glaring down a couple who couldn't help but snicker at the sight of her though.
