Babel.
Best film i've watched this year. Poignant to the power of 10(yeah i'm exaggerating). I don't understand the M18 censorship though. It's just nudity and sexual reference. And the Rinko girl only flashed, twice, at the start and at the end. No sex scenes, i rly don't get the rating. Oh and Rinko won some award. Seriously she does make Brad Pitt pale in comparison. Some people are just meant for the role, just like how Johnny Depp breathes, eats, sleeps an outsider. Watch for her emotional conflict at least. I like the way they capture humanity, timeframes and differences in this new light. The poignant message is we live in a world of misunderstandings.
If you think i'm over-rating it, maybe i am cause i watched Eragon the previous day? And i think the Santiego actor is hot.
P.s. I was at Mediacorp just now. Today happens to be the last day of audition(nonono, i didn't take part, i know what i'm capable of). Maybe people should know their limits. CABs and CALs should know that Singapore media has a high level of censorship ie. they won't risk a CAB/CAL as spokeperson for the youths in Singapore? My superficiality is acting up. Okay, fair enough, i haven't heard them sing so yeah. And this is heartfelt. I think everyone who went there are truely brave. All the best to the people out there pursuing their dreams. :)
