Cloud was actually dressed in something other than leather. Well. Sort of. He still had black leather pants on but, finally, he'd gotten himself a white shirt and a tie. A jacket that was the right size had been hard to find but he'd taken his time and found one. So, really, he was scrubbed up and ready for the evening. Not that he'd told Tifa about it. He planned to surprise her.
In their room of the palace, Cloud had left a box on the bed. It was large enough to hold something rather important. A beautiful gown that he'd bought for her and had fitted to her measurments. The seamstress had been surprised by the numbers but he'd insisted she make it right. Tonight had to be perfect. Absolutely perfect. A lot of his gil from finding grunt work in Lindblum had gone on this evening and he just had to make sure it went well. This wasn't even for himself anymore. This was something he wanted to do for Tifa. For them.
A soft sigh escaped him and Cloud waited on the bed, glancing at the box beside him, patting his pocket to make sure he still had that... other thing. He had his plan set. He just had to keep himself from choking before he followed through.
