Rydia had been traveling with Kain one moment, only to be jolted out of that the next. That bright pink glow had dominated everything for a moment and before she could mention it to Kain, it was gone. The Summoner barely had a chance to adjust to that phenomenon when she glanced around and realized their location had changed.
Instead of the terrain that marked the Mist Continent stretching out around her, the Summoner was confronted with a very different view. Her heart stopped as she stared at the valley around her. Behind was a cave entrance, and before her was a small town. A very familiar town, nestled between the mountains. Even more important, it was intact. There were no signs of the destruction that Rydia remembered all too clearly.
Confused yet elated, Rydia rushed forward. Whatever had happened, was happening, she no longer felt so adrift. This was were it all started for her, and she had hoped to return, after her adventures in Gaia. This was home.
