Tifa was angry. The relief she had felt upon seeing Shelke returned, and Zack with her, had quickly been eclipsed the moment she realised that Cloud wasn't with them. He'd dropped them off and gone out somewhere in Lindblum without so much as saying hello. Bastard. Didn't he realise how worried she'd been? She hadn't exactly had an easy time of it looking after Denzel. Oh, she'd coped without him before and she could do so again, but the plunging sense of disappointment when he hadn't turned up had been agonising.
She just about managed to keep it together as she greeted Zack and Shelke, and luckily Zack had immediately asked Denzel to show him around the castle. With the three of them off on a tour, Tifa finally had some time to herself.
It didn't help her mood. She felt alone, and stressed, and frustrated. She sat down on the beautiful couch in their beautiful room, in this beautiful fairytale castle, and she'd never missed home more.
