After the last series of "memories," the warrior no longer knew what to expect of this place. It was one thing to see pieces of a life that he had forgotten, and to begin to remember them again. It was another thing entirely to see pieces of the past he did remember twisted. He had fallen into near-silence after seeing the last scene. It had been more than he had ever hoped for, to see Cosmos alive and well again, and to know that she had seen the cycle stopped... and yet that same thing had become horribly cruel to see once it faded, and he came back to himself. He knew that Cosmos had died in the Conflict, and that she had not appeared to any of them after it finished. As much as he might wish otherwise, what he had seen was not the truth.
So when the next place they found themselves was the Chaos Shrine, from the Conflict, his hands clenched reflexively. He wished he held his sword. Whatever this place held for them, it would not likely be anything good. Yet he remembered defeating Garland here, and gaining his crystal.
"This is the Chaos Shrine." He said to the other two, glancing around it. As he did so, he caught a glimpse of a purple cloak, and a huge blade, just in front of the enormous throne at the front.
Immediately he stepped forward, sword and shield in hand, and glared at his nemesis. "Garland!"
