Something was amiss. Very amiss. Minwu had not noticed the pink sky, simply because he had spent the past week within the Mysidian tower. But something had filtered through; an odd sensation. Something magical in nature, but unknown.
...And suddenly, Mysidia. Their Mysidia, not his. He heard the child speak, and he watched the child chase after someone. He followed, silently- still trying to percept what exactly was amiss. Something was. He just couldn't place it.
“...Ceodore?” Porom turned, but when she faced Ceodore she seemed to look right through him. She couldn't see him or Minwu at all. The sky shifted and churned angrily, dark clouds swirling above them and crackling with fury. After a second of seeming completely lost, she scowled, placing herself between the Elder - when had he appeared? Had he been here all along? - and Ramuh.
She was so focussed on the Eidolon in front of her - an eidolon who had appeared as suddenly as the elder had - that she didn't notice the ground shining beneath her feet until she was pulled into the light suddenly and moved away as lightning fell from the sky, striking where she had been stood only a second ago.
Striking where the elder still was. Where he'd neglected to teleport himself away from.
“Elder! No!” She screamed, scrambling back to his side. White magic swirled around her as she tried to do something, anything, to undo the damage that Ramuh had done. Cure. Cura. Curaga. Curaja. Raise. Arise. Anything. The girl, the one who had done this to Ramuh

The magic spun around her again, moving though the gaps underneath the great doors, through keyholes and the part-rotten wood of the older window frames before moving back into the room and forming the shapes of humans.
She forced herself to her feet, teleporting out past the locked door and stumbling forward to face the Eidolon, trembling with fear. She steadied herself, scrubbing at her eyes a little more roughly than was really necessary, and called out.
“Ramuh of the Feymarch!”
No answer.
“Ramuh of the Feymarch! I wish to speak with you.”
Nothing.
“Ramuh of the Feymarch! I- I know I am no summoner. But you will speak with me

At least Porom had heard him enough to acknowledge him. Ceodore stared in outright horror as he watched her be jolted with Ramuh's Divine Judgment. "Porom!" Uncertain why the Eidolon was rampaging again, he rushed forward to try to heal her, only to find that none of his magic worked. And how he needed it now.
Helpless to do anything but watch, his mind reeled in shock and confusion. Hadn't Rydia reclaimed her Eidolons? Why then the repeat attack on Mysidia? Why would that girl not just die already?! The more he watched, the more sick and furious he became, reaching to pull his sword and go after that wretched moon maiden and end her torment of his friends and family

Minwu only recognized one thing in the situation. Kain. Likewise, he recognized the armor and stopped to doubletake at the man handing over something which seemed to eminate such power. His eyes were as wide as possibly could be, and he couldn't help but look back at the monster that resembled an old man.
It was a monter, he was certain of it. He just couldn't understand why Porom was attempting to reason with it. Surely she knew that a creature like that couldn't see sense, didn't she?
Without further delay, he attempted to blast it with a Holy spell. Yet he found that while he could remember the incantation's words, he could not actually... launch the thing. Nothing happened. It was like he didn't even know the spell.
So, he moved to Porom and attempted to speak to her once more.
Porom didn't answer for another minute or so, staring through Minwu as if he weren't there. She continued to block Ramuh's attacks until the Eidolon and the Elder and everyone around faded away.
She still didn't notice them for a few more seconds, trying in vain to grasp what had just happened.
"...Ceodore? Yo- ...Minwu." She said quietly finally, still seeming lost. But she bowed her head in greeting because even if you were just teleported away from Gaia and had to fight an old man with an unruly beard who suddenly wasn't there anymore manners were still important. "What was- is he gone?"
"What just happene-" Ceodore cut the question off short as the name of the other person present registered to him. "M-minwu?" Even though he was by no means nearly as schooled in magical history or theory, nor the extensive history of Mysidia that Porom seemed so adept in, that was one name that every white mage in the world knew, or at least had heard. Today had no shortage of surprises.
Still, there was something unsettling about all of this. Mysidia had gone from stillness to chaos to emptiness again, save the three of them. Ceodore looked around, hoping for a sign of life anywhere, but couldn't see or hear anything. "Are we home?" Or was this more of those creepy placement switches?
"I do not think you are anywhere close to what you called your home." He responded, shaking his head and lightly scanning the girl, to check for further injury sustained from the monster that resembled a man.
...There was none. The girl's magic skill had been exemplary. So he rose, and peered into the emptiness. "He is gone. But..." Well, he didn't know what was happening. It was quite a change for him. Uncertainty was definately a feeling he hadn't much experience with.
"There is no exit. No entrance. There is absolutely nothing..."
"That was- That already happenned. I- believe, anyway. Ramuh's attack- Rydia came to break the spell he was under and end it. It was months ago."
She was saying it more for her own benefit than to explain, trying to remind herself that there was no way what just happened could possibly have been real.
"I don't think so. Maybe all we have to do is exit the village like we did the other time." At least, that's what made the most sense to Ceodore who was getting too fed up from being ripped around places to much care about the logistics. He was worried, but leaving seemed the most ideal thing to do, which he set off for straightaway
( ... )
...How impulsive. He watched the youth leave and regarded Porom again before nodding, smally. Though Ceodore's decision appeared to be less to do with considered haste and more to do with speed, it was the only thing they could have done. No other suggestions seemed readily apparent, anyway.
So he followed, staying close to Porom, the youth's sound of surprise bringing his attentions back to him. But sadly, Minwu didn't see anything alike what Ceodore had seen. He looked at the lad as if he'd grown three heads and then moved his head, staring in the direction he was.
Nothing was there. But the lad looked as if he'd seen a ghost.
Porom followed cautiously. She was still shaken rather badly, if not actually hurt, but becoming separated seemed like a fairly poor idea. When she found herself suddenly in Baron's throne room, her first instinct was still to move as far away as possible from the southernmost door.
She froze when she saw Cecil. "...Your highness?"
But Cecil didn't seem to notice her, or anyone but Ceodore, and she took a step back, turning to Minwu. "This is- something else that has been."
All Ceodore could do at first was join the others at staring in horror at the change that had overtaken the good man who was his father. Only when he looked did he notice a strange girl lingering at his side, one that he mistook for Rydia for a fleeting second. There was no time at all to respond to her as he and his mother stepped up to protest the chilly greeting. That movement was all it took for Kain to take the lead, a protective stance against Cecil. He hadn't gone for his weapon yet, but Ceodore had fought by him long enough now to recognize the signs of his hand creeping over to pull for it
( ... )
Before Ceodore could give an answer, even though he wasn't sure of it himself, Kain was ordering him to step back. He did so, but only a little and with great hesitation. He knew what was at stake here and it was killing him to be forced to choose. But forced he would be
( ... )
What was this? He nodded to Porom and continued to watch; knowing he could do nothing. He couldn't assist the youth, for he didn't see anything. He couldn't cure him, because there appeared to be a light problem with that. So all he did was watch, creasing his brows slightly at the poor lad starting to shake
( ... )
Carefully, Porom placed one hand on Ceodore's shoulder and the other on his trembling hands, pushing down on his hands to try to convince him to lower his sword.
"That's- that's all over. Done with. And- He's going to be fine, Ceodore. Everything's going to be fine. Please believe that."
She almost didn't notice the changing surroundings. It was only the sudden, almost oppressive magical presence of the seal that eventually caught her attention. Not moving away from Ceodore, she turned.
And just watched. A nagging feeling in the back of her mind reminded her that this was none of her business - that she had no right at all to see into the great sage's life this way, that this was not her place - but as soon as she remembered what Minwu had said about what was sealed in the tower and put the pieces together she froze in horror, unable to turn away.
It was a few seconds before she remembered to breathe, let alone speak.
"Your- your holiness...are you- that was- you're not- are you?"
...And suddenly, Mysidia. Their Mysidia, not his. He heard the child speak, and he watched the child chase after someone. He followed, silently- still trying to percept what exactly was amiss. Something was. He just couldn't place it.
