Celes was quickly appraising the situation as best she could while blocking a couple more hits with her shield and arms. She could feel the blood dripping down her arms, but it wasn't important at the moment. What was important was protecting the town.

And she'd just gotten an idea.

"Terra!" she called again, taking precious second to explain her plan. "Flank with me! There's a group coming straight in. If you're on one side and I'm on the other, they split their attention and we box them in! Hurry!"

It also meant they could watch behind each other better. Celes darted left, taking the place that would have her vulnerable side closest to the outside, where the enemies were coming from. She trusted Terra to keep an eye behind her in case she couldn't stop things from breaking through her. Leaping into the battle with a quick spin, she used Stock Break once more, swearing softly as she realized her energy reserves were running out quickly. Good thing she never went far without potions.

"Try casting something powerful while I use Stock Break! The combined effect might help slow them down!"

"Okay, I will!"

Something powerful...she could do that. Terra nodded and then focused. Fire magic came naturally to her, and thus she decided to rely on it now. When Celes was about to use Stock Break again, Terra was ready. A moment later, her Firaga spell erupted around their foes.

The two abilities didn't exactly combine as much as they exploded at about the same time, utterly obliterating everything in the way and giving the two warriors some time to breathe. It wasn't much and soon they'd be back to the fight, but for a very short moment, Celes was able to flash Terra a grateful smile.

"That was good! How's your energy?"

"I'm fine! I can keep going for a--" Terra paused as she caught sight of a silver dragon in the distance. It reminded her of what she had seen in Alfitaria, when the city was under siege.

"Is that...Lufene?!"

Celes swore again as she recognized the dragon and heard Terra's cry. "I was hoping it wouldn't be her." She flipped her Sky Phone back on and barked orders to the fighters around her.

"Looks like Lufene! Protect the town at all costs!"
