There's No Cheer In This House

Scurrying through the house in attempt to keep busy, Aerith finally settled within the garden out back to check upon her flowers. Staring at the assortment of yellow and white flowers, the girl glanced up at the sky with a slight smile. “So beautiful…” She murmured to herself as she wiped the sweat off her brow. She was covered with speckles of dirt upon her white gown all thanks to her messy hobby. Gardening is a relaxing hobby to do, but today not even the flowers could comfort her.
The sky was a shade of bright blue, a blue so rich in cerulean that reminded her of those bright blue eyes she loved so much. Everything about her new little home in Luca reminded her of Zack. Both the sky and sea was bathed in rich hues of indigo with a sliver of azure meshed within. There was no escaping from her reality here in Luca, especially since all of Zack’s belongings lingered about within their house. Feeling as if her heart would break if she spent another moment inside, Aerith sought refugee amongst her garden only to have Zack’s blue eyes gazing at her from the sky.
“You…you came from up there.” She whispered. “I guess…you went back there.” Remembering how they first met, Aerith tried her best not to cry. If Zack was truly gone, then he returned to the heaven he left.
