Warnings: Sorry this is so late guys. ._. I had to go in for one of my finals today and it didn't go that well. Anyway, the way this works is this: You can post what your character is doing, or reply to other character's posts, or both. The sound of violins being tuned drifted down the hall as the ballroom opened its doors. The Black Mages, a local group, were set up at the far end of the hall on an elevated platform, and the main dance floor was wreathed by a circle of small tables. The tables were draped with shimmering white tablecloths and topped by a basin of water with tea lights and flowers set adrift over the surface. The food was set up on long tables near the entrances, with all assortments of Lindblum delicacies prepared for this event. There seemed to be two closets as well, one for coats and the other labeled: Gysahl Pickles. Please do not remove pickles from the premises. Violators will be fined.
A knight stood silent sentry at the door, taking down the names of those who entered as well as passing out flowers for the lovely ladies.
"Alexandrian tradition we've kept in honor of our friendship," he explained to each one. "For good luck, and if a lady meets a lucky gentleman at this ball who she wishes to pursue, she should feel free to offer it to him. If he accepts, it's required by law to uphold the request." He would on occasion pause then, grinning as he dropped his voice to a stage whisper.
"...o'course, sometimes the lady's a bit scarier than all the wrath of the law, don't you think?"
Ah, the small blessings (or, arguably, curses) of living in a matriarchal world.
