“There, all better!”

Dripping water upon the pristine petals of the yellow-hued flowers within her garden, Aerith let out a content sigh once they began to sparkle within the sun’s glow. The translucent watery pearls that dotted the flowers petals traveled downward along their green stems before eventually trickling down to the soil below. She watched with a childish fascination as each petal was delicately sprinkled with water. A little smile appeared upon her lips as she slowly rose to her feet. Dusting off the dirt that settled upon her long pink dress, Aerith let out another sigh but this time one of mild discontent. It was lonely here living by herself in Lindblum, a little too lonesome for her bear. She separated herself from Cloud and the others months ago out of her own insecurities, but now she felt as if she accidentally exiled herself within this modest little home. Picking up the watering pot, the gloomy brunette retreated inside once more.

“Maybe I should visit them more often…” Aerith thought aloud. “It’s so much livelier there.” Setting the pot down upon the kitchen table, the girl made her way towards the next room to check on the flowers that sat upon the windowsill. “They look a little parched, maybe I should water them too.” Quickly walking towards the kitchen again, Aerith came to an abrupt halt. Swearing she heard a whisper, Aerith’s eyes glanced towards the front door at the end of the foyer. “Hm?” Blinking her eyes in uncertainty, the girl just shook her head.

“For a second there, I swore I heard his voice.” Returning to the kitchen once more, Aerith scooped up the watering pot in her hands before scampering off to the next room. “Maybe he’s thinking about me today.” She mused with a smile. Ever since Zack arrived here in Gaia, Aerith’s been a tad skittish about spending time with him. It probably had something to do with Zack’s previous stay here in Gaia that made Aerith a tad apprehensive. He vanished so quickly, almost as if he was never here at all and it really left a scar upon the girl’s heart. Yet, even though he was back-Aerith was scared that he would just vanish like last time.

She had it in her head that if she just kept away, Zack would stay. It was a silly thought, one brought on by days of pure uncertainty.

"I should call him." She commented as she poured water down the flower pot. "We have so much to talk about still."
