Apparently, females donned in lavish ballgowns were not a common site in the nearby tavern; it was obvious in the way the establishment noticeably quieted when Quistis and Agrias entered, the usually rowdy patrons taking a moment to appreciate the arrival of the blond maidens. The pair paid no mind, however-- both too weighed down with heavy thoughts on their minds, they immediately made way towards the bar counter, situating themselves in a darkened corner isolated from the rest of the pub inhabitants.
After taking her seat, Quistis let out a heavy sigh, relieved to be finally off her feet. As a girl who wore combat boots for the majority of her SeeD career, pumps were something she could never fully grow accustomed to. Her ankles screamed at her, her toes burning with ache, and she contemplated for the briefest of moments to take her shoes off all together-- but even in her distressed state, her professional nature wouldn't give her a break. Instead, she simply tucked her feet beneath her chair, her ankles crossed as the toes rested against the wooden floor; at least the pressure was off her feet for now, and that would have to be enough.
"An ale, please." Quistis murmured as the bartender came to take their drinks. Yes, alcohol would definitely be welcomed, especially after all the events that had taken place throughout the course of the evening. She waited until Agrias had placed an order of her choice of beverage and the bartender had disappeared before she let her composure relax, shoulders visibly dropping from their usual poised stiffness. Perhaps chatting would do some good; Quistis didn't really want to think much at the moment, and some idle small talk could preoccupy her mind.
"How was your evening, Agrias?" Her voice was soft, maybe even a bit tired, but a small smile lifted the corners of her lips as she attempted to look somewhat friendly.
