Trying not to see the humor in Genesis' childish antics, the Marquis of Bhujerba kept his composure even when the blind man threatened to smite him. He ignored Genesis' complaint as he slapped that black hat upon the young man's head for a second try. Honestly, Genesis had no idea how dashing he looks with that sleek black hat. "Come now, you're embarrassing me." Ondore said with a faint chuckle as he stalked ahead of the duo.

Knowing it was a tad cruel of him to drag a blind man to a party, Ondore had little say in this idea. Vossler was adamant about dragging Genesis along not because he was fond of the blind mercenary, but because he didn't trust Genesis to be left alone in his estate. With no one but the servants to watch the two mercenaries, Vossler feared for the worst.

"May the gods strike me dead for deciding to venture here with the two of you...” Halim murmured with a slight sigh. Unlike his sour faced companions, the Marquis knew how to ‘smile’ and that smile looked rather good with his modest black attire. While the ( ... )

No amount of complaints, or swinging a cane toward his head would have deterred Vossler from dragging Genesis along with them. Luckily, Ondore agreed to the deal. Blind or no, Genesis was a liability. It didn't matter that Ondore felt as though he could be trusted--the fact remained that he was unknown to them, and that he had allied himself with Vayne Solidor ( ... )

While Vossler was mentally comparing the Marquis to a tyrant equal of Vayne’s proportions, the even surlier Genesis went as far as tossing his hat right at Ondore’s head. Grumbling once the hat stuck him; the Marquis cast a glare over his shoulders as he eyed the two with such frustration. “I am amazed how quickly young able-bodied men can regress into such childlike dispositions.” He said as he knelt down to pick up the hat. Dusting it off for just a moment, the Marquis decided to keep the top hat this time since Genesis seemed so fond of using it as a mock frisbee ( ... )

"Better you remain here where we can escort you," Vossler pointed out, though he was certain that Genesis would not reach the same conclusion. That in itself allowed him to move past his own irritation, and smirk despite the fact that the effort was wasted what with their third party no longer having access to his sight. Taking Ondore's cue, Vossler moved with the others toward the indicated table, even going so far as to pull out a chair for their sightless companion.

"By all means, allow me."

Utterly amazed by how badly this night has begun, Halim truly hoped some sort of good could be salvaged from it. He did not come all this way for such a day to end so poorly, so perhaps he will give his apologies later to Genesis while Vossler is out of earshot.

The Dalmascan Knight certainly bore no love for the two former employees of Vayne, and with just cause. The Marquis could understand the mercenaries need for work, and had they not come to Wutai's aid when it's people needed them; the entire country would have been in ruins. However, because of their interference they are apart of the reason why the Gaians still view Vayne so heroically. In a sense, the two mercenaries aided in Vayne by dooming any naysayer who spoke against him by doing his dirty work. This was certainly a thought that somewhat troubled Halim still.

"Nay, I shall not lecture you, but..." Unsure what to say to Genesis next, Ondore allowed his words to falter.

From all appearances, a game of tag had broken out amongst the children at the party, or so one could assume from the sudden chaos that erupted as tiny bodies rushed about, screaming and laughing. It was nearly impossible to make out who was 'It' but that didn't matter much to the munchkins. The birthday girl herself was among the players and came running by, crashed into Marquis Ondore, then continued on her way, calling out behind her, "Oops! Sorry!!"

Nearly trampled over by the little princess, Ondore had to laugh once Lady Eiko scampered away followed by two other. "My, isn't she quite spirited tonight." The Marquis laughed as he watched the children run off into the crowd.
