Summary: A party to get over all the drama (and to celebrate a pirate's birthday but only a few people know that so shhhh.)
Location: Just outside Wutai
Date: February 27th, 1804
Warnings: Um. Alcohol, pirates, drunken Selphie, probably a lot of innuendo and... a surprise later~!

Everything seemed to be going well so far. Balthier had done a wonderful job arranging and planning everything - though telling him that would probably cause his ego to swell.

Fran had spent much of the day cooking and preparing the food, but now she was showered, changed and enjoying the scenery, sat off to the side by herself. She cradled a glass of wine in her hand, sipping every so often.

Spotting the bunny ears, Rinoa thought she had seen her friend Mjrn at first, and she practically ran over in delight. She stopped as soon as she realised her mistake.

"Oh! Hey... Fran, right? Long time no see! How are you?"

Just a little surprised at being approached, Fran watched the girl for a moment before answering, head tilting to one side just a little. "Rinoa, isn't it?"

The girl from Garden with a dislike for Balthier if she remembered correctly.

Rinoa nodded. "Yep, that's right. You're Balthier's partner, aren't you? So you helped organise this party?"

"That is correct." It used to bother her once upon a time being referred to as 'Balthier's Partner' since she had been in the pirating business since before he was even born. But these days it didn't bother her. She was his partner and he, hers.

"I prepared the food. The rest, Balthier arranged himself."

"He got the booze, huh? The guy does know how to throw a party, I'll give him that. And your food is great. It's funny that you picked Wutai though. I mean, not long ago, the whole place was practically torched..."

She looked around, thinking how funny it was that she'd been drawn back to Wutai so soon after Garden had left.

Spotting the tall-eared viera nearby, Freya almost confused the woman for Mjrn until she got a better look at her. Tall, lanky and perched upon heels just like the other, Fran was a near mirror image to the young vieran dragoon knight despite minor differences aesthetically. This viera possessed a more adult features unlike the younger viera, clearly older for anyone who could spot the truth dotted along Fran's black spotted ears.

"Another like Mjrn, how odd." Freya commented to no one as she sipped her ale in silence.

The ears of the Viera in question twitched at the voice, turning to better catch the sound. Eventually her head turned too, crimson eyes watching Freya with a silent interest. A rat-person, like the ones she had seen in Burmecia when she and Balthier first arrived.

"You know Mjrn?" It seemed Mjrn was far more the social butterfly than Fran would ever be.
