Well, they'd done it, Tifa thought as she sat down with a cup of tea in their new living room. They'd finally managed to settle down in one place. A new home. A new life, maybe. She ought to be happier. True, Lindblum lacked some of the technology they took for granted in Edge, but it was a more cheerful, more vibrant city. And the house was pretty. It was still a little bare at the moment, since they didn't exactly have a lot of luggage, but she could imagine filling it with flowers and pictures and all those bits of clutter that turned a house into home.
Was it a new start, or was it giving up?
It didn't matter for now. She had to give the children the best chance in life that she could, even if they were in the wrong world. Marlene and Denzel were young; they found it easier to adjust. They seemed to like it here.
Tifa turned to her family and smiled. "So! What do you think?"
