Sleep monster goes "snore"

Jan 06, 2011 16:30

I swear I'm trying to get more rest day to day. This is something I've constantly struggled with, I don't sleep, stay up too late then crash. then repeat the pattern again. Well last night the lights were out and the white noise was on at 9.40 and my head hit the pillow not much later. However when I tried to get up at 6.20 am to do a little walking, nada... a herd of undomesticated equines couldn't drag me out. Indeed I slept until 7.40 am.... That's right folks. I got nearly 10 hours of sleep and I was still grumpy! WIN! I have got to get a handle on this crappy sleep thing. However I'm perfecting the art of getting up, dressed and out the door in 15 mins. I even found socks this morning... THATS RIGHT BITCHES... Socks. I got up and out fast, and to work earlier than most of my coworkers. Another quiet day in the world of Technology in the Midwest.

Grocery shopping last night was fun, disappointing- but fun never the less. Wandering through Kroger was annoying at best. The veggies were sad in selection and even more sad in appearance. The chicken cases looked as if they had been raided by hordes of angry housewives, and all the beef made me wish I had remembered to go to the meat market earlier in the day.
They did however have frozen sweet potato fries on sale which was a total score.

I ate breakfast this morning. Well, drank. Shake made with hazelnut liquid stuff... Later at work I had a tangerine and a banana. Riveting I know. But it was good, and I wasn't hungry at 9.30 like usually happens. Additionally I made dinner last night. Steak and rice, leftovers for lunch with raw baby carrots. I still have two tangerines  (make that one) to snack on whooo hooo! Breakfast is one other things that I've been trying to actually eat. Plus eating better food.

One day I'll be a grown up, I swear.*

Looks like I'm having chicken tonight, who knows how I'm going to cook it. Or what veggies. However sweet potato fries might make me very happy bwa hah hah.

*only because chocolate pudding cups aren't apparently a good form of nutrition
