69 Memory Lane - Late Tuesday Night

Jan 29, 2008 18:05

Jack was fiddling with the security system down by the edge of the property.

Again why? Because he doesn't have an Impala or a ghost to dither over.

[ooc: Open! Sorry it's not the most inspired opening post I'm gradually waking up. :)]

"If you let a perfectly good pair of Armani pumps go to waste, I'm going to be very cross with you."

Jack chuckled from where he was stretched out on his back, fiddling with wires.

"They won't go to waste, I promise. Just had to get over the whole falling out of a tree bit first."

Huh. That looked ... intricate. Fujiko gave the system a covert glance.

"A tree? Oh, yeah... I think I remember something about that on the news the other night. So, it wasn't just the usual almost misinformation and weirdness?"

It was but one small part of the over all system was the trick!

"Nope, lost my footing and came crashing down out of the branches. Made a right prat fool of myself."

"Did you land on some poor person?"

It was the only way Fujiko could imagine Jack's not having at least one limb in traction.

"Or does some guy just follow you around with a mattress or something?"

La la la. No innuendo intented. La la la.

[OOC: Now with the correct user pic. >.<]

"I like the mattress idea," Jack said with a wicked chuckle. "But no, I just got lucky."

He flashed her a relaxed smile from his prone position next to the brick pillar.

Prone was such a nice position. Perfect for admiring the view. Or anything that might normally be hidden from it, as the case may be.

Fujiko brushed a stray leaf from her skirt and tilted her head.

"I'll say. That looks complicated," she added, gesturing toward's Jack's fix it job.

Jack was enough of a gentleman not to look up a skirt, at least he was these days, elsewise Estelle would have hurt him.

"It's just a bit of wiring," he obfuscated with a winsome smile. "Those were some nice heels you ordered, by the way. A lady with taste, I see?"

"Mm."

Fujiko bit her lip and nodded as she cast another glance over at the wires, trying not to study them too obviously. She'd never seen anything quite like it before.

"I'm easily satisfied with the best. Do they fit alright?"

"Best way to be satisfied," Jack agreed with a wink before ducking back to his work.

Bundling up the wires, he lay them out for the moment and sat up, one arm curled around his knee.

"They fit perfect, if I end up falling on my arse I won't be able to blame the fit of the shoes."

Pass up the opportunity to examine those things more closely. As if...

Fujiko settled herself on the ground, no small feet in a skirt and a pair of heels which weren't all that dissimilar from the one's she'd sent Jack.

"Mm. Just don't wear them up any trees."

[ooc: Wugh. My brain is way too fuzzy for good rp. Pick up tomorrow?]

[ooc: SP for the win!]

"Thought that was going to be my next challenge," Jack said with a cheeky grin.
