Birth of a Falling Star

Sep 10, 2004 21:34

Strip me down to my hydrogen core,
Blaze the raw shell it ain’t burnin’ no more.
Iron piles high with degenerate force,
Gravity collapses, now I’m a white dwarf.

Shed my skin in super nova blast,
Now I’m in a different class on a new path.
At last, my movement shifts from quick to fast,
I spread interstellar, emanate cosmic gas.

I’m a massive star surviving death,
Pulsars rotate there’s a neutron ball left.
Gravity binds me together that’s correct,
I am rainbow nebula doing things you don’t expect.

Radiate, heat, passion, helium begins to fuse,
Spinning so quick that my neutrons get confused.
I use my matter and splatter it abused,
And fall through the sky, it’s a miracle to you
