here at the Clockwork Phoenix 5 Kickstarter campaign site:
Hello, Clockwork Phoenix 5 backers. I hope the winter is being kind to you.
I wanted to use this lull between Christmas and New Year’s to give all of you a more thorough update as to where things stand with the project and your rewards. We’ve spent a lot of time making books and other rewards, and very little time talking about exactly what it is we’ve been doing.
We’ve completed the Kickstarter editions of all of the books we’re offering as rewards. As a result, we’ve already sent out all of the e-book rewards. (This is probably a good time to remind you to download your e-book files if you haven’t yet done so. The links expire Dec. 31 - if you miss the window, you’ll have to contact me to request a new download link.)
As for print copies, we have all the paperback books we need already in hand except for the backer copies of Clockwork Phoenix 5. Those are on order (yay!), but we’re at the mercy of the printer’s holiday backlog, and so (boo!) they’re not going to arrive at the Allen house until early to mid-January, hopefully sooner rather than later.
I also have
Paula Arwen Owen’s Clockwork Phoenix decals already in hand, and at present plan to send them out with the books.
In addition to the e-books, the following rewards have already been shipped out to all who pledged for them:
- Clockwork Phoenix pendants
- Clockwork Phoenix earrings
- Prints of the Clockwork Phoenix 5 cover art
- Paperback copies of Francesca Forrest’s novel Pen Pal
The following rewards don’t exist yet (but are in progress):
- Clockwork Phoenix tumbler sets
- Chapbook edition of “Temnaya and the House of Books” by Catherynne M. Valente
- Chapbook edition of “The Occultation” by Laird Barron
The three items listed above aren’t scheduled to ship until April 2016. I’ll be sure to keep folks up to speed on our progress with each of them.
There are still a few giveaway rewards that haven’t gone out, notably the jam jars. We’re working on them. We’re also working on finishing up the next issue of Mythic Delirium (Jan.-March 2016) and figuring out the lineups for the issues that follow. For many of you, those are rewards too!
If you have a question about anything I haven’t covered here, or even a question about something I did cover, ping me anytime at mythicdelirium@gmail.com.
Thanks again for all your help. May the new year bring all of you wonderful things.
