Because I can think of no other reason for our sudden onslaught of snow.
Can't be bothered to make thumbnails, so very large images under the cut.
Yeah. Not exactly a winter wonderland. But seeing as how snow season here pretty much ended in January for us, not too shabby.
Obligatory "look, snow on our outdoor furniture!" picture.
My neighborhood is rather boring, so I decided to go the nearby graveyard (5 minute walk, seriously) and take pictures there. I've been meaning to for a while, I figured the snow was a good enough excuse.
A few overview pics:
It's rather difficult to get good pictures when it keeps snowing right on the lens...
This man fought in the Civil War. The Civil War. Granted, the losing side, but...
Okay, this one is pretty difficult to read. The fact that Photobucket resized the photos doesn't help. From what I can tell, it says: "Mary A. Lavada, Infant Dau. of T. J. & M. J. Owen. Born May 22, 1881, Died Dec 5, 1882."
There's an unfortunately large number of dead infants in this cemetary.
They aren't real flowers.
Not
that Henry Clay.
.
A bit of background info--the person on the left was buried in 2000. The person on the right was buried in 2006. What a difference six years makes.
...Lama? Lama Rosebud?
Most of the dead infants are relatively old, but this one is surprisingly recent:
The snow is whiter on the other side...
I thought they were swastikas at first...
My footprints amuse me.
I'm assuming two things about this couple--one, that they're a husband and wife, and two, that Mrs. Palmer is still alive. (She doesn't have a death date, after all.) If these are true, then we have here a 99-year-old woman whose husband has been dead since she was 20.
A trio of trinkets.
Is there a group of people who like to knock down flowerpots in their spare time? They need to find a better hobby.
At this point, I noticed that one of my legs was going numb from the cold, so I decided it was probably a good idea to head back home.
The gate I went through.
On a semi-related note, according to ForecastFox, right now it's 34F and rainy...and tomorrow it's going to be 41F and snowy. Also according to ForecastFox, tomorrow is Sunday. Apparently it thinks that today is yesterday.
