I might as well post these

I've mentioned that I went on a trip with my school's chorus to New York City in April. I uploaded a few photos from it to Flickr yesterday and thought I might post them here.

I'll start off by saying that we travelled to NYC by bus, not by plane--seeing as Georgia isn't exactly close, this took about...17 hours? And after that, we spent most of the time touring in the bus. So a lot of these were taken from inside the bus.

Taxis. Lots of them. Also, a giant inflatable rat.

Closeup of the rat.

A fake fountain.

A taping of the Today Show. Our minigroup tried to get to it, but the camera that was shooting the audience refused to come to our section for some reason, so we got bored and left. This pic was taken from the second floor of Nintendo World (which was basically heaven for me ♥).

These next two photos are the ONLY decent photos I got of Radio City Music Hall. The place is gorgeous, but it does not lend itself to amateur photography at all.

I can't remember what exactly these dummies are for. I think they were just displaying some old Rockette costumes.

More Rockette costumes.

A statue and a random guy.

A horse drawn carriage and another damn taxi. (They're everywhere!)

I can't remember what this is called, but it's the largest cathedral in America. I think.

The Flatiron Building. Most pictures of it (like this one) make it look extremely thin, but it's actually wedge-shaped.

The Hotel Chelsea.

The mini Flatiron.

The Naked Cowboy and a guy wearing a kilt.

I don't know why some of these photos are orangey, because it wasn't sunset yet...

The thumbnail didn't look this blurry! XD

These next few were taken from inside Madison Square Garden:

With a special cameo by my finger!

Like half the bus scrambled to get a picture of this sign when we stopped here.

This is the view from the Ellis Island Ferry. I have a bunch of shots where I tried to get a goodish pic of the Statue of Liberty, but none of them were at all decent.

EDIT: On an unrelated note, I just got salmoned. Finally. (See themissinghat, although my salmon was too boring to post. The most exciting thing about it was that I thought he called me Jess after I said I was Natasha. I need to be more interesting.)
