In fairness, DT has stated that RTD specifically tosses out things in order to play with the Plot-minded fans that like to track story arcs - and intentionally take them positively nowhere.
yes we saw this last series with the moon referneces, and the royal referneces scattered everywhere. I think the Rose references were just there to show us Rose was still on the fore front of the Doctor's mind. however, in series one #9 says he was once on the titanic, and we see a picture or #9 before he boarded. i wonder how they will deal with that?
In The End Of The World, Jabe tells the Doctor that Platform 1 (I think that was the name...) was unsinkable. The Doctor replies saying that he was on a ship like that once. Though I can't remember the exact line, he clearly is referencing that he was on the Titanic. I think it would be so awesome if they did a 'Two Doctors' thing, even though I doubt that Eccleston would ever come back. I do think they will have to deal with this though, if RTD ignores this it would be a real shame.
Oh, right, right. I was thinking of Rose, when she goes to see the guy with the website.. never considered that he could go back, *and* I forgot that part in The End of the World! ;) Thank you.
Oh yeah, Clive. ^_^ *Sniff* This brought back memories of Rose and Nine.... I wonder what would happen between Nine and Ten if they met. This is Nine pre-Rose, probably a *bit* insane....
I just re-watched The End of the World tonight, and wrote down the quote when I heard it. He says, "I was on another ship they thought was unsinkable once. Ended up clinging to an iceberg, and it wasn't half cold." (or thereabouts anyway, I had to scrounge for a pen as he was talking) I think it would be SO AWESOME if Chris came back for a one-off, him and DT together=me in a puddle.
