Now THAT is what I will pretend happens. That way Martha can have her day, Rose can learn to live on her own, be her own person, but still they get to be together. I also love the way you have the Doctor living as he HAS to, but still searching along the way, just in case. I could totally see that happening.

Thank you so much! The very last thing I want for Rose is for her to be utterly miserable for the rest of her life. What I want most is for her to be with the Doctor ;) - but, as that's impossible, so we're told, she has to move on. And so has he - and, for me, even though the reunion is why I wrote this story, I had to show her living a good life and even enjoying it. Being happy, even with the lingering sadness underneath.

How perfect and yet plausible. This is how someone can convincingly explain away the parallel world problem.

I liked how you had both of them move on with their lives, yet still linger on the past, never giving up hope. This is the type of fic I'd like to read post-Doomsday.

Thank you! As I said above, I had to show them moving on, despite planning an eventual reunion - Rose wouldn't sit around and weep forever, and we know he doesn't.

Are you sure you're not RTD's good twin? 'Cause I reckon he was the evil twin last night.

THIS is the ending we wanted to see. Yes, being back with the family is logical and 'right' but it broke our little shipper hearts. This is spot on.

Aww, thank you! I know it's never going to happen in reality - well, the reunion, that is - but I hope the rest will. Moving on, learning to live, finding some satisfaction in living a better life.
