*happy sigh* Rose/Nine. Ten's definitely growing on me, but Nine's still got my heart. And I love that he's coming across as quite irritated with his future self for the pain he's caused Rose. Although I'm looking forward to seeing his reaction when Rose admits that she left him, not the other way around.

Wonderful as usual! Satisfying, yet leaving me dying for more. Bravo!

Thank you very much! Yeah, at the moment Nine's a bit irritated, but of course he doesn't know the full story. As you say, he doens't know that Rose is the one who walked out. But nor does he know why...

Ooooooh, angstyness! I got angstyness! And the 9th Doctor! It's weird how as a fan I miss him almost as much as Rose does. I mean I love Ten, I do, but....*sigh* I miss my Nine. I'm starting to wonder if this is going to be a happy ending. I'm thinking it's looking more towards the bittersweet which definitely works....other things I loved:

He frowned, eyes narrowing. “You look like you’ve seen a ghost.”

Her answer chilled him to the bone. “Yeah. I’m lookin’ at one.” And the choke in her voice as she finished made his hearts wrench. “You, Doctor.”

ACK! Like a punch to the gut. Seriously. SO emotional and so simple. I hate you and your talent sometimes, you know that? ;)

And then his face creased into another smile. “But sod what I should do.”

As she kept staring at him, still feeling that she should be pinching herself, he held out his arms. And, with an inarticulate cry, she launched herself at him. He enfolded her in his embrace, his so-familiar embrace.AWWWWW! SO WARM AND FUZZY! Just so incredibly sweet. I love that he

the last few weeks I have really been missing Nine.

I miss him too, but I absolutely adored Ten/Rose in the Cybermen episodes and in The Idiot's Lantern. I think Ten and Rose are lovely together in an entirely different way to Nine and Rose, and I love both couples. :)

Glad you're liking this! I will continue to write Nine as well - I have another longish Nine fic in mind to write soon, but I think my summer solstice fic exchange, which will be Ten, will have to come next.

Yeah, sad Nine. This isn't that long after Dalek, so I think he's still got a lot of that 'not by choice' feeling about him.
