Happy America Day
So on this July 4th day I have decided to resurrect my livejournal for a summation of my life as of current.
Mostly I work for a bunch of days and then I don't for a bunch of days. The glory of shift work. However, 12 hours is a long time to do nothing by yourself. I'm not a big fan of loneliness but I am a big fan of CBC radio which I have listened too for the past 5 days to keep myself entertained at work.
Some interesting things I have learned, particularly about grammar (this one episode was pretty neat)is that its completely relative and was argued that it was a tool of the class system to seperate the elite and highly educated. They eventually discussed whether grammar is even requisite. Tres interesting...
Also I like the pay at work, so I don't mind listening to cbc all day.
What I do mind is coming home at 8:45 only to have about an hour to eat and chat etc before I really should be getting to bed. Needless to say, I don't get enough sleep.
Also I'm going to the Stampede!!YAHOO! I love Calgary and although I am having to constantly defend my love for that city (but I do like Edmonton) I don't love that place any less. It will be nice to go back to a city where I know where alot of things are and where there is so much to do and see. Its too bad we will only be there for 3 days.
Although the summer has not been life changing its certainly been the best one I've ever had. In my books its already epic and its only july 4
