FC report - part 1
Memories are already starting to vanish, and the lack of sleep and con crud that I got on the 2nd day of our trip, and still having, is not really helping much ;))
Before the Con
Junkvist arrived to my place the week before FC,
had a few days together, even though I still had to go to work on the weekdays,
and was busy working on the new neons stuff.
Some last minute trouble with one of the inverters and other stuff, but Thanks to him, we got it mostly finished before we left :)
So now timduru not only has his neon head
but also the tail and full body + tail stripes.
4 different inverters, 2 sound reactive and a ton of wire and switches to control.
I can make a separate post about it if people are interested ;)
I also got to try his new Bliff suit before we leave :)
very nice.
We then arrived at San Francisco on Tuesday before the con, just browsed around a bit.
Found an hotel near the beach.
Yakeo's box was missing unfortunately. He finally got it back on Thursday at the Double Tree FC hotel, after many phone calls, sucks.
On Wednesday we went to the beach, then to Lombard street aka the curvy road.
Drive to San Jose and stop on the way for some shopping and fan hunting.. really very difficult to find.. ack.
Then we headed toward the FC hotel to checkin Xavier's room and unpack,
meet up with SingleSpeedCheetah, then head to Furahi's place to meet with him,
he had offered to host SSC, junkvist and myself for the night, as we couldn't get the con's rate for wednesday at the hotel.
After that not much, more fans hunting, we finally find one, then 2 more, hurray !
Heading back to Furahi's place where I crash, beeing sick and lacking sleep badly, not good..
On Thursday, we head to the con and check in early, some foodage, not sure what we did after..
Thursday, FC Starts
FC starts officially, slow start, then the deaddog like dance in the small room.
Music is not my preferred but it's danceable.
Good occasion to test the new neons system later in the night.
Worked fine, some bad connection on one circuit, but nothing major.
Kofu arrived later at night, some problems with his flight delayed and such. :)
He had made some nice drawings to identify our rooms.
Friday
Friday is kinda like a blurr, some suiting up I think, the usual meetings and all.
Time to grab my laser gun and put on that black suit and the old sun glasses to go incognito
Some charity visit to the local hospital for crazy furs ;)
Meeting with local wildlife
Yes I'm still as light as before ;)
Stopping by the Pandagod to cheer him up a bit
Heading outside when I get shot by a snipper, just enough time to avoid the shot and kill him, pfeeew.
*g* I would need to make an animated gif of these ;)
Setting up the crime investigation area.
Then after goofing around some more
Some good rest finally
*flops*
Passing by the Gaming room to register for the DDR tournament on Saturday 10am
Nobody had information about its content or rules or anything though...
Then getting back in shape
damn all those juicy bugs and katmobile sure get you out of shape.
pfff pfff pfff slow down !

Then the dance,
first went with the 1st timduru, went back to change in timduru toony and the neon gear.
Tips for people trying to photograph the neons: don't use flash, otherwise all you'll see is the bunch of crap , controllers and wire structure on me ;)
Or use fill in flash and far from me, with longer exposure.
I would gladly pose for you with the neons on if you need more of a still position for the longer exposure, but the flash will really ruin the magic ;)
Or juste take video, will look much better.
If you have good photos or video of me , don't hesitate to send my way ! ;)
Unfortunately the music was so so that night, but as I'd see in the next few days,
it was the best dance from the con still.
The best were croc even if a bit slow and weird style.
And BBF, even if I would say that it was not his regular music played, it was as if something was missing, most likely because of the very short timeslot he was given as I usually get more bouncy near the end of his sets :)
After that, there were 2 other DJs if I recall correctly, definitely not my type of music.
Not sure what type it was, some kind of drum'n'bass or something ..
I can dance to that for 5 minutes before I get overly bored and sleep.
