-laundry night-
i've been practicing with astaire for a little while now. practices are very warm, the sound is great, everything can be heard, and it feels rather professional. i enjoy it a great deal. my position in astaire has been put on hold for a while, so i've moved on to another project. you will know us by THE HOUNDS OF MEDICINE. this is the rebirth of the original hounds, and our first practice last night was outstanding. one and a half songs already. this is what i am accustom to. the frigid practice space littered with cigarette butts. the poor lighting and the sound bouncing from one cement wall to another. i think ken, justin, and i have some real chemistry, and could put a real nice set together. it's noisy-fast-pretty music. that's how i would describe it. at least right now that is.
talked to bernie after practice. their apartment was broken into, and just about everything was taken. bernie obviously sounded a bit upset. my poor friends. why did this have to happen to them?! well, i guess they'll be back up here sooner than they expected without having to pack much anymore.
met up with gordon blue at billy's after talking to bernie. i just chilled while all his friends talked about everquest. nerds. i'm a nerd too, but that shiite's really nerdy. had a few drinks, then crossed the street to mulligans. where we chatted with liz for a spell before i knocked over my beer flooding the table. then i went home, fell asleep on the couch, woke up at 8:43am, crawled into my bed, got up two hours later, was late for work, drank some green tea with peach, did a bunch of work, which brings me here right now. there is more work to be done, but i just can't motivate myself. i can't wait to go home. maybe i'll see ben and everything will be alright. i want a cig, but i purposely left them at home.
i'm slated to go to detroit tomorrow to see a show. following the show i will sleep in lansing. saturday, i will drive back to grand rapids, then leave shortly after to chicago. i will return sunday evening.
