I'm sitting on dave's parent's shag carpet, plugged into their cable. Water for tea is boiling upstairs and dave's dad is watching an old war movie. Early this morning we headed off to Langford for a flea market in his dad's mustang, it was pushing being too hot and bright for that early in the am, but there were homemade cookies for 25 cents, so it was swell.

I'm quite enjoying this trip. It feels like a vacation; it's without that visiting parents air that other visits have been so full of. We were just here, we did that then, so this is nice. Not that that is in any way negative, but it's more refreshing to visit without it. It almost feels like it did when we lived here. Yesterday we walked to the ocean. David swam/snorkled and I sat on a rock with my feet in the sea and this computer on my lap. It would be difficult to complain about my life right now. It's funny, I can't even remember how it's done.

David is outside gardening with his mom. I am going to go brew my tea and figure out the next few hours of the day. There are lakes to swim in and shops to sit in with pie and tea. Which will it be?
