RPG - Jas and Alejandro

“To get cookies! Maybe the money papa gave me is enough to buy a cookie each.” No one can argue that sweets might just be her favourite thing. She looks up at the two of them, smiling, trying to cheer them up, because she thinks they both look sad this morning, and it makes her nervous and unhappy too.

“There is a bakery just down that street, if ( Read more... )

He laughs. "So you are," he says, reaching an arm up to ruffle her hair. "Look, I almost can't touch your head!"

{But what if Alejandro was defending Jaspre? Would he take Ariya's side over Jaspre's? It'll be very interesting to see what happens. :3 Weird!}

“That’s because you’re a shortie!” Her pure, childish laughter tugs up one corner of Jaspre’s mouth, forming a half smile. “Oh, oh! Can you run, Jas? Please?”

“Let’s see if Alejandro can catch up to us. You better hold on tight, Princess.”

Absinthia clutches both of his hands as he sets off running, and she can’t stop laughing at the surge of butterflies in her stomach that tickle so.

(I think Sulli will get protective of Ariya simply because Alejandro is arguing with her, but that he'll be really lost because he loves Jaspre too, and doesn't want to hurt him. We'll see how it pans out :3 Aren't they just adorable together, the three of them? I've been having so much fun today picturing Jas and Alejandro as parents :D)

Alejandro grins as he runs after them, weaving deftly through the throngs of monsters, ignoring the odd and annoyed looks sent his way. The running helps lift his spirits, as does the sound of Absinthia delighted laughter, and when he catches up with them, he feels much better than he did this morning.

"Come on," he says, smiling up at her and he takes one hand. "Let go find you some sweets."

{They are! Did I ever share with you the story I found that has a monster orphanage?}

The bakery smells absolutely mouth watering; there is a myriad of cakes and pastries and types of bread, and the scent of fresh, steaming hot tea blends with that of the food. It’s a small, but busy establishment, run by a family. Absinthia’s eyes goes wide when they enter, and suddenly she is urging Jaspre to put her down so she can go look, squirming on his shoulders. He lifts her and sets her on the floor and can’t help but smile at how happy she is over something as mundane as visiting a bakery.

The despair and sadness that has been lodged in his chest since he got Sullivan’s letter last night is slowly easing.
“Pick anything you want,” he says as he comes up behind her. “Don’t worry about the money.”

She beams at him. “Oh, but I don’t know what to pick! Ale, do you know what’s good? Everything looks good.”

(No, but might you be talking about Greg the Vampire? :3 Because I know you love that one, and I do too.)

"It does doesn't it?" he agrees as he bends down so they are about the same height. "How about a piece of cake?" he suggests.

{Yup, that's the one! I think when it comes time to give them a kid we should just have them pop over to the orphanage and be like, "Who wants to run away and join the circus?!" :D}

”Um…okay.” She presses squats down to press her hands to the glass and leans in, trailing her eyes over the delicious looking sweets in the case. There are little paper cards in front of each cake with its name on it, but she has only just learnt how to read and can’t decode the stylish letters. “I want that one!”

“Alright.” Jaspre tells the young female behind the counter to get a piece of ivy cake to go. It has shiny, black nightshade berries on top that makes Absinthia smile wide, and she takes one and pops it in her mouth the second she gets the cake, wrapped up loosely in a napkin.

(Omg yes! Maybe they could have two kids? One very young and one slightly older? Like a toddler and a 4-5 year old? I really want to see them with a small child :D)

Alejandro gets orders a load of nightshade and holly bread for he and Jaspre to share, and they pay and leave, Absinthia lunch away happily on her piece of cake, frosting smeared all around her mouth. "Where do you want to go next?" he asks her.

{Yes! I can just see Sulli being really eager to hold the kids when they visit and Alejandro being like... "I don't trust you. You'll break one of them. D:"}

She pauses in her devouring of the cake to think, chewing on her bottom lip while she tries to decide. “Dresses…?”

“Sure.” A blush heats her cheeks when Jaspre puts a hand on the top of her head and ruffles her hair. “You better eat up first and wipe your hands, though, otherwise they won’t let you into any stores.”

Absinthia stuffs the rest of the cake in her mouth without any ado and wipes her hands and face clean on the napkin. “Okay, ready now.”

(And Sulli would look like a kicked puppy until Jas handed him a kid. OH- and the oldest could try to call Anton 'uncle', and then be super scared at the look he gives it. XD. I think Sulli would be overjoyed to be called uncle. I love these ideas :D)

Alejandro smiles, and as they walk to find a dress shop he splits his bread in half and gives a piece to Jaspre. "I won't take no for an answer," he warns.

{XD Sullivan could sneak the kids into the house sometime only Anton would come home and be like, "EW WHAT ARE THOSE THINGS GET THEM OUT OF MY HOUSE."}

”No one in their right mind turns down fresh nightshade bread,” he says, accepting it to take a bite. The bread is still warm and very nearly melts on his tongue.

Absinthia is in a hurry to move on, and would probably have gotten lost in the crowd if Alejandro didn’t insist that she holds his hand. The first clothing store for children they come across is large, filled with clothes of all sorts; upon seeing that there is a section of dresses only she whines for them to hurry, sticking out her bottom lip in a cute pout when they don’t go fast enough for her liking.

(XD! And Sulli could go, "Don't mind uncle Anton- he's a very grumpy sourpuss." Oh, and the kids should totally play with Schnappie! And after Jas and Alejandro leaves with the kids Sulli would be all depressed and stuff and Anton would be horrified that he'll be bringing home another kitten or something :P)

"Patience, Princess," Alejandro teases. "The dresses aren't going anywhere!"

{XD I don't think Anton would actually let them play in the house, though. He hates kids. Also, I think that at some point someone should make a comment on the fact that Alejandro is very clearly half Fey and they should get kicked out of a store or something, and Jaspre could come to his defense, but Alejandro would still be really depressed.}

“No, but we have to be home by dinner!”

Her impatience puts little fond smiles on their faces. They let her go off on her own, Alejandro staying close and Jaspre walking a little further behind, listening to their conversation, his thoughts drifting, but never in an unpleasant direction.

(Oh, Anton. Sulli will just have to make do with Schnappie. And they could go to a book store, and the clerk could be a really stuffy, prejudiced monster? Or a customer, maybe? Oh- after Jas and Alejandro have been together for a while Jas could get really sad and blue because he wants a full family, and Alejandro could be the one to suggest they adopt? Or something like it :3)

They sit through a parade of dresses as Absinthia goes through the rack determined to try on every single one; purples and blues and greens and red and oranges all decorate the small child, each more lovely than the last. It makes Alejandro's heart break that they can't afford such nice things.

{Yeah! Like the manager could be like, "We don't serve filthy Fey here," and Jaspre could want to make a big deal about it and Alejandro would just want to slip away quietly and not cause a commotion. That sounds good!}

Jaspre can tell that Absinthia is sad that she lacks the money to buy the dresses that look so wonderful on her, and that she puts on a big, brave smile despite it.

An idea comes to him. He stores it away for later, because this is not the place or the time, and takes the little girl’s hand to lead her out of the store once she is done trying on dresses. “I’d like to stop by a store,” he says. “I am almost out of ink.”

(Yep! Jas wouldn't normally make a commotion, but he gets edgy fast at certain things.)

Alrejandro nods. "That's fine," he says. They have time before they have to be back anyway.

They stop at a small bookstore, and while Jaspre looks for his ink, he and Absinthia browse aimlessly through the aisles.

{True. :3 Do you want to do that monster that makes the commotion or should I?}

There is a satisfactory selection of ink bottles in this store, as his memory reminded him, and Jaspre takes his time looking for one of the brand he has been using for years. To his displeasure they have none left on display, so he picks another fine, but not too expensive bottle.

While he’s here, he might as well get a new journal- since he joined the circus, the current one is nearing its end fast.

(Um, you? You know best how to insult him so it hurts bad :3)
