Whoooooooaaaaa....

So...another OH MY GOD type post...

D'Anna stopped me on the way out of theater yesterday and told me that (!!!) he is planning to have original percussion music for the production of the Scottish play and (!!!!!!) he wants me to write it. He also said that apparently (?!?!?!) Damron recommended he ask me. So I'm kind of in a generally spastic mood.

Two-edged spasticity, though, because I'm also spazzing about whether or not I'm going to be able to do it, particularly the section where -- I'm looking at the scene notes for the first six scenes now -- "drum music is fiercely primal/sexually aware/excited" and "indicate[s] a seemingly orgiastic dance."

Uh huh...ok, Mr. D'Anna. You have fun with that. *backs away slowly* He insists on spelling "Percussion" with one "s" too...weirdo.

Anyway...what else...went to Mr. Blake last night. I think Dan put it best when he called it "funny in a disturbing sort of way" which was basically how I felt about it. I had a good time but I wouldn't go back to see it again, if you get my meaning. It was fun enough, though. Jared Owens did a really good job on his talent section -- I was really impressed.

Going to middle schools to play drums with the chorus tomorrow, missing the first half of school. Hopefully we'll be back to catch some of TextAlive, but we may not, which SUCKS. I'm really enjoying Titus Andronicus and looking forward to putting it on. Also enjoying the fact that we still haven't done more than a quarter of the class's monologues even though we wrote them almost a month ago. I don't particularly want to perform mine...mainly because the writing sucks (I have no idea whether the acting sucks or not and I've given up on trying to figure it out), and I would be perfectly happy if we never finished them. But somehow I doubt that will be the case.

*smerf* Gotta go do chem and Macbethwriting. W00t!

*bounces off*
