Just a couple of notes...
When you live below sea level, expect flooding... Seriously people, just because you put up flood walls, doesn't mean they are going to stop a hurricane.
Did anyone else see Tropical Storm Katrina coming in oh say two weeks before hand?? To the people who stayed in their homes to be rescued, well good use of emergency resources considering you were told to EVACUATE several days in advance.
I agree with Daniel on this one, gas prices are rediculous, but we are obviously paying for the rescue efforts being made down there, again you were told to evacuate not stay in your homes while 25 feet of water comes and wipes it away, just because New Orleans and Bioxli Miss. were hit doesn't mean gas should be raised a whole 1$ a gallon. And yes we should boycott. But then again the majority of people are too cushy and won't sacrifice getting fired or what not because they can't afford to go to work.
I honestly feel sorry for the whole southern area because it sucks that they always have to be the ones to get hit by hurricanes, but honestly they have been around since the dawn of time and if you live down there, be prepared to experience a hurricane. Why do you think I live in the north. The only thing that happens up here is snowfall. Indiana had tornados and I got the fuck out of there, and moved up here. I do love Michigan in that sense, just SNOW.
Anyway, got a job, soon to be getting a car, classes are going well, first week and all, I am looking for a new roommate and if I can't find one then I need a new place to live. Other than that, thats all I got. I've just seen so many posts about Katrina (which why we give them names I have NO IDEA) I thought I would put my worthless two cents in, so there... 2 cents...
