It's really sad how many people just listen to their preacher for advice on politics. I was, unfortunately, one of those people about 3 years ago. I made a mistake that I regret deeply. Never again will I make such a large decision based solely on those uninformed few. This includes listening to just one media source, one community leader or one family member. It's sad that people still think that Bush is doing a good job. I was astounded that a coworker of mine was using the same rhetoric that was widely used 3 years when Bush was running for office. "He's just a poor public speaker" is such an understatement. It's also not surprising (as it's Montgomery) for another coworker to approximately say, "I hope that black guy (Obama) and Hillary don't get elected to president. I'm a woman and women are too moody. If a black guy's elected then it's just go to his head and the country will wind up going to black people." I've already been called a communist for not agreeing with the Bush administration's economic decisions. I was nearly told I was going to hell for believing in separation of church and state.
Ugh. I feel dirty. I feel frustrated. I feel ashamed to be in the least be associated with Bush.
PS. This is not a monarchy. The president does not own this country.
PPS. The Grand Canyon was not created by Noah's flood. Anyone who believes as such clearly does not have a firm enough grasp on reality:
