I just feel like posting (and procrastinating), so there!
I have a proposal in with DC/Vertigo, it's a weird western adventure. Send well-wishing energy my way.
Our cat caught a mouse last night. Last time he caught one he didn't kill it all the way, and I took it away from him before he could finish it off. He had something akin to post-traumatic stress disorder for a few months afterwards. Always seeing the one that got away skittering just beyond his reach. This most recent one was dead by the time I got to it, so Mr. Smush (the cat) was proud as punch and now he's sleeping it off on a patch of sunlight.
I tried to build a humane mouse trap so I could capture the critter, then release him in the park, but he was too crafty to be taken alive. Death by a pudgy whiskery predator is a sad second option.

I sliced open my finger pretty good yesterday while washing the dishes. Here are some pictures. Not sure if they're NSFW, but they're kinda gross so, be warned. If you don't want to look at my bloody stump, don't click.
The odd thing is, this isn't the first time I've exploded glassware while washing it. Mutant power, perhaps?
I'm reading "Nightwatch," and I've watched the movie. The book is SO much better (I fell asleep during the movie), but the movie does give some good visual reference points.
