This was heartwrenching. I was expecting heavy angst and geared up for that as I can handle that with some kind of resolution. Death is a completely different ball game.

*HUGS back* Thanks. I'm glad everyone else cried as much as I did. I had to take a break so I could sob for ten minutes whilst I was writing it. I felt like a big squealing infant.

Okay, I've read it 3 times now and am fortified by p_i_guy's scotch, so for good or ill, my power of speech has returned. Strangely, Don following Tim at the end is what makes this bearable. I don't think I could have stood it if he'd had to go on alone. And when he slips on Timmy's ring and secures it with his own...I'll say it again: damn. Meanwhile....

Gods, you're good when the forces of darkness descend! And on that note....

Even the first time I read that absolutely devestating morgue scene, know what I was thinking? I was thinking that now you need to write this version from Timmy's POV, captured and tortured and waiting til the bitter end for Donald to come....

*eyes wide and horrified* I don't know if I can do that. Holy crap. Well, at least not right now, but that's gonna niggle at me for sure. We'll see what happens.

There was no way Donald was going to be able to continue without Timmy. He just can't.

The morgue scene is where I started crying. Donald wanted to crawl up on the table and burst into tears or run away before he ever walked through the door. I felt really bad making him do it.

You do realize we talk about fictional characters like they're real? Is that indicative of something?

Yikes. I'm hearing that more and more often. I may have to cave eventually. But first! I've started a new story that may be a long one and the severe angst!bunnies seem to be taking a break, so I'll work on this one for a while. I'll keep it in mind for a bit later though! (God, help me.)
