Let's see, what's there to report? School is...school. I talked to my art teacher, Mr. Findlay, and he was cool with me doing some sort of metal sculpture for one of my projects. Not until the second quarter, though, then we'll be into 3D art. It's just a matter of getting the shop teacher to let me use the welding equipment when the room is free.
I took Jenny to see the Corpse Bride a couple of weekends ago. It was a fun time--I really like her sense of humor, and we talked a while afterward. The occasional kissing was really nice, too. I still haven't heard when the band's going to be playing the Bronze again, but I really want to hear her sing and maybe do some sketches of her. She's very sketchable; I used one of the sketches I did of her from memory for class, rendered in pen and ink, and it came out really well.
Cassie came to the last couple Art Survey classes; I sort of helped catch her up on what she'd missed. She didn't say what was up that she missed the first class, I guess she was just sick that night or something. She's fun to talk to about art, anyway. She's got a totally different view of it than I have and it makes me think.
Something really kind of strange happened when I was walking back to my car on campus after the last class. I got this kind of creeped out feeling like I was being followed, and then...I dunno, my vision got a little funky. Like, for a minute I was seeing fuzzy halos around people--only then a car pulled in right in front of me and the headlights blinded me. Even after the guy got out and started walking away--I mentioned he'd left the lights on and he acted like I was crazy. Jerk.
After I got in my car, I closed my eyes for a few minutes and finally stopped seeing the afterimages so I could drive home. But I think I better mention to Mom that I need an eye appointment soon.
