So, that was July 4 around here. We had planned to grill steaks and do the usual outdoor things, but the weather had other ideas. And that's fine, because we desperately needed the rain, and as dry as things had been, the neighborhood kids setting off fireworks could have led to serious trouble. Besides, there was lightening and thunder to make up for the lack of firework noise and show.
