First off, while I remember, there's a
poll for which j-drama you are most looking forward to this Spring. Top 7 get loving care at Our Hour. Go, thou, and make sure Tumbling is in that top seven.
But most importantly, my very own personal forever copy of Darling got here today! You may have already seen scans, but having the actual book is so much better! Though, having the book makes me appreciate all the more scans of the pages, because it can't be easy to do good scans when the pictures are interesting all the way to the binding. The only problem is that I though having the book would make me lust for the calendar less. But it has had the opposite effect. Oh, my. I'm the sort of person who is generally perfectly happy with the free calendars that businesses, bureaus and politicians send out, and here I am on the verge of paying good money for a calendar that I would be afraid to mark on. Quick! Someone talk some sense into me! (The Water Authority's calendar is good. The Water Authority's calendar is all I need. The Water Authority's calendar has nice pictures of dams and power plants.... Shoot, this isn't working!)
Anyway, back to Darling. Each of the D-Boys wrote their own message which is quite interesting. Not that I can read them. In fact, what is interesting is looking at how varied their handwriting is. I can usually make out the kana no matter how bad the writing is, but the kanji brings a whole fresh level of incomprehension to me. And the signatures in alphabet? Wow, I will never be ashamed of my penmanship again. But for sure, each one is very distinct and probably quite hard to imitate. And I like how everyone's personality is reflected in their penmanship.
Also, Seto's face looks extra petite in his close-ups. And I like his too big glasses on his tiny nose. It's dork-tastic.
Ugh. I am feeling really fat today. I promise never to eat ice cream again. Well, maybe once a year. Unless it is homemade. Or a special occasion. Or I feel like it.
