That's a meme that's been passed around, I've seen the whole thing before. The thing that bugs me about it is the fact that the guys who always complain about this act as if it's only males that this happens to. The same exact thing can happen to girls with close guy friends, I've been rejected by tons of male friends. The guy who originally wrote that probably HAS a perfectly nice female friend who is crazy about him, but he's too busy obsessing over some girl he ADMITS is a bitch to even notice her. So usually those guys are big hypocrites, complaining about girls liking jerks when they themselves only like bitches.

I can definitely tell you the answer to that: they'll abuse you horribly for years and take advantage of you constantly. And you keep feeling sorry for them because you know they have issues with depression or they had a bad childhood or whatever, but the fact that their own pain is the reason for them being mean to you does not actually make it any less horrible when they abuse you constantly. And it just goes on and on no matter how much you do for them, in fact doing nice things and being there and trying to help only allows them to take advantage of your kindness and be even meaner to you.

There is never enough love in this world, and no matter how much abuse you take, there will be people who are impressed and touched by your honesty and kindness - and changed. And that? Is worth it. It's worth it to be a great person, because there isn't enough love in this world.
