Second verse, same as the first

Sometimes it's so good to sit down for a historically-based movie that at no point tries to be spectacular, but instead actual quality. A Man For All Seasons (1966) is great. In hindsight I wish I could have seen it while I was cramming facts about the history of the Church of England for Medieval History class, it offers a great mix of politics and personalities.

I really need to get back to watching British cinema. It felt good watching a movie without ever rolling my eyes or groaning. It's been a while.

(But it took me over an hour to get over how John Hurt with long hair and a moustache looked like a pretty Ringo Starr. And holy shit Henry VIII was Quint from Jaws!).

Also the poster looks quite stylin'. Wonder how it would look on my wall?

old movies, squeeage, rambling: movies
