So I've been reacquainted with modern television

(a.k.a that crime thing with the guy offa Buffy)

Character dynamic: Man and woman (INSTANT SEXUAL TENSION AMIRITE?). Quirky academic versus immature copper.

Snark quality: Low. Consists of rolling of eyes and incredulous questions.

(a.k.a that Inspector Morse spinoff with Billie Piper's husband)

Character dynamic: Actual clashing personalities, classes and standpoints. Experienced cynical copper versus young ex-theologician turned copper.

Snark quality: GODLIKE. Beautiful and hilarious snark that makes the world a brighter place. Worth watching for the snark alone.

Just some reflections around what my TV wants me to watch (as in prime-time TV programmes) versus what I've discovered I actually want to see. Apologies to any potential Bones fans on my flist.

rambling: tv, squeeage
