The brave hunters of insects
It suddenly got very warm again today, after a few colder day. So there were those insects that I couldn't see properly because they wouldn't stop flying very fast a little above the ground... but not too fast for the local kitties to catch and eat.
These two rulers of the territory (I think they are both young males) were very busy hunting, but they were still too cautious to let me near them. So what with the evening light, the kitties moving all the time and the zoom of my camera no longer working, these are my least bad photos of the hunt.
It wasn't really that dark; I just had to increase the contrast to make the all-tabby cat stand out from the ground:
